Platform Outreach References Multiple Podcasts for a Single-Podcast Host

March 29, 2026

Did the outreach email actually get the recipient's facts right before it went out?

What happened

The AI app-building platform managing Content Loop outreach sent a cold email to a podcast host that referenced "her podcasts" — plural. She only has one podcast. She replied negatively.

Root cause

The AI agent didn't verify basic facts about the outreach target before sending. It either hallucinated additional podcasts or pulled stale/incorrect data.

What changed

All outreach must be fact-checked before sending. AI can draft; a human must verify facts about the recipient. Review → Publish → Send, never Send → Review → Regret.

The lesson

AI personalization that's wrong is worse than no personalization at all. A generic email gets ignored; a specifically wrong email gets remembered as careless. Any AI-generated outreach that claims to know something about the recipient needs human verification on those specific claims. The automation saves time on structure; the human catches errors on facts.
